What's New for 2023?

A few things are new for the Ford F-150 this year. First, you can now choose from an additional exterior paint color, Atlas Blue. There's a new Black Appearance package that can make the truck look more aggressive, and the availability of the Bed Utility package expanded.

Perhaps the most exciting news so far is that there's a new type of F-150 available, and that's the all-electric Ford F-150 Lightning. This truck uses two electric motors and comes standard with all-wheel drive. It's capable of making 563 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque. The range can be up to 300 miles, making it a great option to travel across the nearby Illinois-Indiana state line in pursuit of adventure.

Performance

Our traditional Ford F-150 trucks are all very capable. They are up to any challenging task that you have planned for them. Ford gives potential buyers a range of engine options. First, there's a 290-horsepower, 3.3-liter Ti-VCT V6 that boasts 265 pound-feet of torque. This performance is enough to keep things exciting when you drive around town or navigate to the Lincoln Trail State Park. If you prefer something more powerful, consider the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6. It makes 325 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. There's also a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6. It can provide you with 400 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque. The 5.0-liter Ti-VCT V8 comes with 400 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque, and it gives you a maximum payload rating of 3,325 pounds.

Another option is the high-output 3.5-liter EcoBoost found on the F-150 Raptor. It delivers 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque, and it's ready to handle things off the beaten path. The last choice is a full hybrid configuration that uses a 3.5-liter PowerBoost V6 engine. It offers 430 horsepower and 570 pound-feet of torque, along with an impressive towing capacity of 12,700 pounds.

It's clear that any of these engine options would prove to be more than sufficient for your hauls in Marshall. Please keep in mind that the F-150 can feature advanced 4x4 systems, too. Some trims, like the Tremor, are particularly great for off-roading. The Tremor rides on 33-inch all-terrain tires and has an upgraded suspension and a locking differential.
